Belated Merry Christmas and Advanced Happy New Year

So how was your Christmas guys? Mine was good but I can say that it’s not the best. We still did the Christmas tradition of attending to mass before the clock strikes twelve and wait for Christmas together. It’s a not a happy Christmas I may say because only four of us celebrated it together. If you’ve read my posts, my brother had died July last year and that’s the saddest thing that happened in my entire life. It’s like there had been a major change in my life since that happened. One more thing is that my brother’s wife and my niece are no longer living in our house. So there, I think you can now imagine how sad our Christmas would be.

But still, we’ve welcomed Christmas with a bang. We cooked delicious food! My mom surprisingly cooked leche flan for desert. I wasn’t expecting that though because she was not cooking that very delicious desert for years! She also cooked Kalderetang Baka and Fried Chicken. My cousin gave us Ube Maccapuno Cake and I prepared Crema de Fruita. So my father, my mother, my sister and I ate together and that really made the Christmas eve special. What I’ve realized was that it’s really more enjoying to celebrate Christmas together with all your loved ones. It’s happier to have it celebrated with lots of folk who love you and whom you love. That’s why I suggested to my parents that we should go to Cavite to celebrate New Year with my cousins, aunts and uncles. I think it will be way more enjoying. Plus, we could get to cherish our childhood days!

So there folks, belated Merry Christmas and advanced Happy New Year!

By the way, I don’t believe in New Year’s Resolution. Why wait for new year to change when you could have done it today? :) Just a piece of thought. ^___^

  2. Yeah, we can all start whenever we fell like doing something positive for ourselves. We don’t have to wait for the new year. Nice random thought there :)

Our Christmas was pretty simple, too. Just celebrated the yearly noche buena but this time around, spent Christmas here at home. I liked it, though. Something simple yet meaningful.

    Advance happy new year!

  3. That’s sad, sis… I’m sorry I didn’t know, since I only discovered your blog recently. But you got to spend Christmas with your family, and that’s what counts. :) I hope next year the celebration will be even more wonderful.

And yes, I don’t believe in new year resolutions too, but I like to make a list of things I WISH to achieve asap. That’s just me though.

    Take care sis.
